UP4014 at Cheyenne Depot Days 5/17/2014

I would love to go through there, just once.  Wish I didn't live on the far side of the country.

Are tours of the facility available? 

In the past tours were available.  Now you can only go into the Steam Shop during Cheyenne Depot Days.

I know it's a little late, but do you have any pictures of the 2-10-2?

I don't think I took any of 5511 this last time but I have in the past.  Please remind me in a week and I'll look through my older photos.  I am away on a trip right now and don't have access to them.  I didn't take pictures this last time because 5511 is in the same spot it's been for years.

The good news is that I finally got back to the California State Railroad Museum for the first time since 1982!  It was great to see the cab forward and the other engines again!

I'm still interested in the pictures of 5511.  If it isn't too much of a hassle.

Would be interested to see the side rods specifically.  Any pictures of the entire locomotive would be awesome also.

I keep hearing that there are no plans to get 3985 running again soon (or ever, depending on who you ask). Did they say anything about that? 4014 won't be rolling out under steam for quite a while, I wonder what UP's gonna do in the meantime? This is the first time that I recall that UP has no steam engines they can fire up.

Lee sadly there are several who refuse to chill about it. Every chance they get they stir it up about the steam program.

Remember your seemingly innocent comment in the video thread kicked of the s***storm and your post here was a bit more than just than a simple question if he had heard anything about the 3985, it repeated several rumors and accusations from other posts
