I recently purchased a 7 car MTH 70 streamline passenger set that I plan to re-paint to Frisco.  I saw they are bringing out the cars in Frisco this year, but I already started on mine.

I have one of the more recent cars that has sprung trucks and a more detailed diaphragm.  I could not find the part number for the new diaphragm.  Does anyone know if it is available from MTH?

Also I plan to convert mine to two rail using the MTH trucks.  Has anyone used the 2 rail trucks on the older style cars?  If so any problems?

Thanks!

You should really post any 2 rail conversion questions on the 2 rail forum. I doubt they will look here to help you.

The best thing about the MTH trucks for me, is I can expect them to roll and track pretty well and still provide power pick-up.

I wish they would release more styles of 2 rail trucks. I put a few sets on their Amtrak cars and don't remember anything bad. You have to attach the wires.

I just recently tried a heavy duty set (6 axle) on a GGD NYC 20th Century LTD car. It doesn't look right but it rolls well now. I'm caring less how stuff looks and more of how things work reliably. I left HO scale just for that reason.

I wonder what model of trucks these are modeled after? Really old?
