Yes, Protosound 2 can be upgraded to 3. The best way to do this is with a PS32 stacker board. In most cases this is a drop in replacement and MTH Parts & Sales can program the board before they send it to you.
No, Protosound 3 sound files can not be uploaded to a Protosound 2 board.
Just be informed that it is not a true PS-3. PS-32 is a PS-3 diesel bottom with adapter board so that 6V bulbs and PS-2 tach reader work with it.
True PS-3 upgrade only exist with diesels upgrade. G
