USATC flat cars for tanks

DB acquired a lot [ over 1000 ] of these.  Do an internet search for ' sskm 49 ', and that will give you many sources of information, dimensions, on those in German service. 

 

And since Klein Modellbahn produced a good [ so I've read ] model of these  in HO, you can use perhaps that info as a basis to find out about other systems [ FS, SNCF ] that also may have acquired some.

My guess it that the Atlas Trainman 40' flat could easily converted. Weaver's car might be correct too. I don't know if either MTH or Lionel made any good cars to use...
