For those of you that use the iCab app, which device do you use and why?  I was playing with my iPad and found that to be great if I seemingly wanted to create a track plan - which I do not and then found that the iPhone version lacks some basics like being able to be able to toggle between engines by pressing the engine button.

One part that I really like is that it communicates between the devices really nicely such that if you do something in one it does it in all (Cab2, iPad and iPhone).

I use the app on an IPhone as I don’t have a tablet. I did borrow the wife’s tablet and I like the track design option and the yard movement speed control. I like the phone for convenience over the tablet. One thing I don’t like about the iCab app is the lack of low speed resolution. Speed step one in the app is not speed step one on the remote, more like 2/3 depending on the engine.

Once you address multiple engines you can hold the engine button down for a quick switch between them.

Spford27,

Thank you for your response.  It seems the tablet is more for track design and yard movement and less about running the trains.  I saw there is a way to get to recent history.  It almost seems to me that the LionChief app is where they are spending their money but there are a lot of Legacy engines that don't have blue tooth.
