The "Silver Feather" vista-dome developed a slight fault in the generator (and, thus, no a/c,) and had to be cut out of the 8 am train today...
Note the SL-SF tag on the Meadow Ave. cross-buck:
One of the GE units also got a bit of exercise hauling a Santa Fe private car back and forth to the shop...

Yes, Arkansas and Missouri. When my in-laws lived in Fort Smith, Ark from '86 to '97, we visited almost every year, and I saw a lot of the A&M. That is a real nice railroad indeed!

They are one of the few long distance non-class 1 freight railroads in the US that operates their own excursion service. And they have a few older open window coaches. And Alco power. Well, here in PA you can ride behind an Alco diesel at Steamtown when they borrow one or two units from DL and at West Chester.
