Merry Christmas Don, Thank You for the great video.
Outstanding, Don!
Love the trees with the tinsel. That's something that has all but disappeared. Like the kid on the floor with the new trains. He's also received some Tinkertoys!
Great video Don.
Merry Christmas!
Thank you Don. That sure brought back memories to me.
Don - what a great video! Thanks so much for sharing!

You have the soul and skills of an artist, Don. Thanks for creating and sharing this.
Having this as a featured topic shows the good taste of the powers that be at OGR Magazine. Arnold
great Video. I remember when the towns used to decorate for Christmas like the ones in the video.
Don, thank you so much for that great video. I sure brought back a lot of memories of when I was little. I always wanted a Lionel train set for Christmas but my late dad always thought than an HO set would be better as that was what he was getting into. Thanks so much for taking the time to make that up, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely watch it more than once I can assure. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Merry Christmas to you and also the rest of the forum members.
Very nice, thank you.
I wish all a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year. and all others a Happy Holiday.

Thanks Don - reminds me of downtown Elizabeth, NJ.
Thank you and Merry Christmas! Reminds me of Christmas past with family and visits to Robertson's Department Store in South Bend,IN.
Thank you for the great video. How about showing us your other Christmas video. The one filmed at a family Christmas party in 1941 I believe ( if I remember correctly). I also think I remember you telling us that one of the gentlemen in the video passed shortly after the video was made.
Don, Thank you for the great video. I will be replaying it many times.
Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy New Year to all OGR family !

Just fabulous, Don. I don't know the people in this lovely film, but so much of it has universal appeal that is emotionally moving for most of us. Thanks so much for sharing it. Arnold
Wonderful!
Very moving this time of year. May the spirit of Christmas touch all of us this way.
thanks for sharing the vintage Christmas celebration.

Yes Don, that's the one. I like the way people "back in the day" had class. Look at how people dressed for family get togethers back then. Boy, how things have changed. Old jeans,t shirts and ball caps are the new norm. I remember being young in the early 60's and still dressing like that for Christmas and Christmas eve family get togethers. Thanks for the great video...……...I always liked the video you had of the end of the war in Japan and the celebration going on in Hawaii
Thanks Jin15, I did a TV show about this family and the little boy (Mike) was retired and living in Davis, California. He was a wonderful interview. We found the original house the film was shot in. The houses were all white with tile roofs and new then. Many empty lots at the time. I always wondered what was going through the adults minds at the time of the filming. Just after the attack on Hawaii they all had to be worried, but had smiles. Your right, they where a class act. Thank goodness they shot 16mm film of that last Christmas together. By the way Mike still had that American Flyer crossing gate when we interviewed him and had given "teddy" to his grandkids. Glad you liked the film. Don
Thanks Don. Brings back memories of my first Lionel train set in 1947 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Couves Radio was the dealer then. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Looks like yout**bs yanked videos, none play on firefox or internet explorer.
not youtube.....I watched them again
Thank you Don - just great
Happy and healthy new year
What a wonderful look back. Although I didn't know the people it sure made me respect how they celebrated. A very warm and heartfelt few minutes. Thank you Don!

Watching this 16 mm film (8 mm had not been made yet), I thought to myself "Gee, I still had 3 months to be born".
