Apologies if this has already been discussed before, but playing with the sounds on the locomotive tonight I found its possible to have the locomotive rolling at speedstep 5-6 and activate the wheel slip. Even the smoke speeds up to match the chuff rate. (Keep in mind I'm not talking about the wheelslip sound being activated from a full stop and playing first as the locomotive starts.) From a stop, set the loco on heavy momentum, pull the train brake to 85-90 percent, give the locomotive full throttle and after it has gained a little speed release the train brake further and the rolling wheel slip sound will be activated. Really cool sound effect. I'll have a video up soon.

Also, with the momentum still set to heavy, set the train brake so the locomotive will not be able to accelerate past speedstep 68-69 and peg the throttle. Sit back and enjoy the incredibly deep sound of this beast. Also try pulling the brake on the Cab2 further so the loco cant go past speedstep 43 and 53ish respectively . The side rod sounds become especially noticeable with these settings. Again, still full throttle. To me it sounds just like all the videos ive seen/heard of a large steam locomotive driving away at some heavy grade. Beautiful.

Just imagine if you could replace the rubber-tired wheel sets with steel wheels and get a little REAL wheelslip   Of course along with injudicious application of the throttle, you would need a 50-car train.

Too bad that every loco with a smooth can motor and modern digital sound also has rubber tires... and no convenient way to swap the rubber for smooth steel
