Has anyone heard an update for when these are suppose to arrive? I apologize if it's been posted recently, just had my first child and things are a little crazy (the good kind).

Last I heard was July. If you do a search, there was a lot of buzz about this several months ago.
Like others, I'm patiently waiting also and will be glad to get these.
Mike Reagan did a demonstration of the Vision Line reefer at the Lionel booth during York. I thought I heard him say that they had shipped from China. The Lionel shipping schedule still shows May 2015. Maybe someone else who was at the Lionel booth can confirm that they had shipped from China.

I think that he did say during the demo I saw that they are on the water. If so they should indeed arrive this month.

Too bad Lionel or someone that attended York didn't make a video for the VL PFE reefer. I'm sure they would probably sell out all the extra ones that dealers ordered quickly.
Looking forward to when mine comes in.
I'm thinking of getting two sets myself to have more sound.

The background noise and the crowd around the stand would not have allowed for that but I can tell you that the icing sound sequence on its own is worth the price; in other respects Lionel has recycled the Vision tank cars sound effects.

Since I already got the three that were in the same catalog and are supposed to match these, they better be the same color! The ones I got are decidedly orange and not yellow.

I have ordered all there PFE reefers sets Lionel has cataloged with and since the VLBB, and of the two that Lionel has released, with sliding doors and hinged doors, they are the same color. I'd find it hard to believe Lionel would change the color now. sure, they don't match the MTH color, but I'm okay with that.

Yes Nicer Doors, Black Ladder and step irons, Colored UP Logo, Nicer cars all around... They are an exact match to the 6-81908 3-Pack of Reefers.
Looks like Nassau is sold out, anyone know of anybody else getting any extra sets?
I just realized that I took out an earlier Lionel car, I guess they've changed. 
I also have the 6-81908 set that look like the last set.
We have some available when they ship.

Two completely different cars show.
Just hoping these new cars match all the earlier PFE cars in color.
You're right, I thought they were supposed to match, but they are different styles! 
I feel these will not be as popular as the tank cars. Did anyone hear the actual sounds from these at York?
The problem with the vision tank cars they were not loud enough imo . Maybe hey will make these louder or I will just buy 2 sets.
