My new VL Big Boy (2331250 #4014 Oil Burner) seems to have a rear coupler that sits too high. It is right up against the bottom of the tender body but does function correctly and swing freely.
But - coupled to my VL UP Aux tender which seems to have couplers a little lower than everything else the mismatch is a lot. And this seems to be causing the train to come uncoupled between the tender/aux tender during a run. The couplers don’t open but uncoupling does happen.
I don’t see a way to adjust the Tender’s rear coupler height but maybe I’m missing something?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
