I'll get by with a little help from my friends,

Yeah.... I'm going to try with a little help from my friends..... with a little help....

 I got my Niagara together!

I must thank the guys here for the help again.

G, I got the straight tether and it works perfectly.

Marty, I still use your PS2 wiring diagram with the numbered wires from each plug to help with my color sight!

I noticed that the soundfile had the chuffs set to 2  per rev. I changed it to 4 chuffs for a bench test. I worked on the engine and installed the new tether so I could put her on the track. It seems that it reverted back to 2 chuffs again?

Is that normal? Won't the setting to 4 stick?

I also had a problem where she stalled crossing over a block (track cut) where the bricks changed? I'll have to test further, but no other engine stalls there. I may need to add some wipers for extra power pick-up?

She looks good from a distance! She was beat up pretty bad when I got her. Just about everything was broken. I still need to do more work on her. I have three or more videos on my channel.

Not too many. Maybe 20? She struggles up hills with longer trains.

I had thought that it might be too light? We get spoiled with the big steamers and maybe that's all she should pull?

If you want a great puller in G scale, try the MTH Triplex. I haven't figured out how many cars she will pull. She pulled every car I had outside one day. The train kept breaking with stock couplers on uneven track. I'm switching over to all body mount KDs. I will do another test someday. I'm guessing 100 cars??
