The Walkersville Southern Railroad, just north of Frederick MD off MD Rt. 15 will host Lehigh Valley Coal 126 for three weekends beginning this weekend. WS offers a nice Hour and 10 minute trip along the old Pennsylvania Railroad. Railfan events and Wild West Train Robberies are also scheduled. See the website for more info.

Catoctin Mountain Trains, arguably one of the best O Gauge stores on the East Coast, is only about 20 minutes up Rt. 15 N in Thurmont Maryland. Makes a nice train themed day trip......
