Saw this scene on a slide on E-bay. I'm intrigued by this location but I cannot find it in my searches. Is this on the LV or the D&H or ???? Can someone pleas identify this location.

That looks like the old CNJ station in Bethlehem, PA. (CNJ = Central Railroad of New Jersey) Most likely taken after the CNJ had ceased operations in PA and portions were taken over by the Lehigh Valley. Not sure why a D&H train is sitting at the station, although the D&H was granted trackage rights into Bethlehem / Allentown due to the formation of Conrail.
Thanks guys.....you nailed it. I kept searching the LV and D&H for a match without any luck. I didn't think to check on the CNJ. The end view made the building look manageable to model but now that I see the sides my enthusiasm is somewhat tempered. Regardless I like the setting. Checking on Bing maps was somewhat depressing.....little remains. they left a token section of track in front of the station.....everything else is long gone and paved over......even the complex on the hill looks like it was torn down and replaced by townhouses. I wonder if these stations were once served by both the LV and CNJ? Still a cool location with the canal and all......Again, many thanks!! Mike
The LV trackage is on the other side of the river, so probably not.
N&W any idea when the photo was taken?
In the E-bay listing the seller notes the date of the slide as 1976.....no location was given which led me to the forum for an answer. I suspect the D&H train was was an excursion and equipment was brought in to accommodate same.
Definitely 1976 after doing some quick research on rrpictures.com. D&H 1976 was rebuilt and repainted in January - February 1976 and appears to be fairly fresh. The other key is LV RS11 still has it diamond on its nose which by may of 77 was re lettered CR.
