Just thought I'd share one of my recent projects I did for a customer. I did a command upgrade for a WBB Train Master, and it got the deluxe lighting treatment.
ERR Cruise Commander, RailSounds Commander, electrocouplers, directional headlights, all part of a pretty standard upgrade.
Then I added a few frills.
Rule-17 lighting and motion controlled cab lighting.
Operating MARS simulator, active only when in motion.
Bi-color directional markers, red/green.

Very nice, clean and old school craftsmanship. I have not seen work like that since I graduated from trade school. It looks as if it came the factory with all the upgrade already installed. Thanks for sharing your upgrade project.
Well, I suppose some of it could be neater, but my main goal is to insure the wires don't get pinched when you put them together. WBB makes it nice to do lighting upgrades, they have all the lighting holes already neatly formed, and they're just the right size for the respective LED's. The only negative is the number boards were opaque, so I couldn't light those.
Looks good! Are all the small boards (motion sensor, ac/dc pwr & mars light) of GRJ's design? I remember you were working on a motion sensor, but I was thinking that was for your super chuffer or something else like that? Anyway it's a big improvement over the original I would think.
The motion sensor board is mine, and so is the AC/DC power module. The MARS module is the www.ngineering.com MARS simulator. very neat little unit.
Ok thanks. I must have missed the separate motion sensor thread (or it's the old memory failing?). That looks like a good project too.
Reread my post above, didn't sound right. I meant the WBB engine had been improved over it's original operation. Fingers don't always type out correctly what brain is thinking.
