I almost fell off of my chair in front of this computer. Just communicated with him this month about a beta test for his Booster/Buffer for TMCC signal boosting. The Raritan Valley Hi-Railers and myself conducted the test 2 1/2 weeks ago so we could send readings back to Dale, with assistance from Bob DeGuarde of The N.J. Hi-Railers. Dale gave us a thumbs up to help out with the test, by phone. He had also "tweeked" three Cab-1 command bases for myself and a couple of other guy's in the group about a year ago. I'll never forget when I packaged the three Cab-1's in a High School fund raiser pizza box and sent it to him in California. I called him several day's later and asked him how he was making out with the Cab-1's. His response was "Boy was I dissapointed  when I opened the box, expecting pizza, and didn't find that!" He had a great website that I learned so much from, and will forever be greatful to his sharing of that info. He also answered any and all of our issues that we had with our layout and can say that the man was a "giver", probably to all. Dale, although we've never really met personally, I feel cheated that I never had the pleasure to meet you personally. God loves a cheerful giver, and that was definitely was you!

Rest in eternal peace brother, you will definitely be missed.

I am heartbroken to hear this news. I had been working with Dale to get my layout to run better. I spoke with him just a few months ago. I learned so much from him. I'm going to find something on the layout to name in his honor. Probably a small business, perhaps "Dale's Electronics" or simply "MANCO".

I'm sure where he is, all the trains run perfectly.

Unbelievably sad to read this tonight!  And it gives us all pause to think how fragile life can be.  I didn't know Dale personally -- only from his posts here on the forum.  Calling him brilliant in the field of electronics seems an enormous understatement.  And as Charlie mentioned, Dale was always willing to share that knowledge too.  Prayers and condolences going out to Dale's family tonight.

I met Dale at the NAB convention in Las Vegas a few years back.  A true gentleman.

Dale either directly or indirectly contributed to the Legacy Users Group meeting and set us straight on how the Legacy / TMCC "track" signal is propagated.  His many contribution to this forum will be greatly missed.  I for one will miss his posts as a Legacy user.  Thank you Dale for your many contributions to our community.

Interestingly enough Dale was instrumental in the advancement of the "Flying Fader" for audio consoles.  To me that was something I encounter almost daily.

My thoughts and prayer to his family and friends.
