This is very sad news indeed.  My prayers go out to his friends and family during this difficult time.

I always enjoyed Dale's post and especially his willingness to freely share his knowledge with others.  I remember a question I had some years ago.  Dale responded with a solution.  Being a novice when it comes to building circuits I emailed him to see if he could explain his solution in simpler words that I could understand.  He did that and more.

I cannot think of a better model train ambassador.

RIP Dale,

Ed

As long as nobody considers it improper, may we memorialize him further by seeing a photo of him included in this thread?

Yes, am looking forward to some more information about him. Rich said he would be posting something later this morning.

Dale was a very nice fella and loved to share his knowledge with us. Sad that he's gone...

Vast electrical knowledge and an unmatched willingness to share it. A definite loss for the forum family. RIP Dale.

WOW! Is that the understatement of the year... and the year just started!

I too am at a huge loss for words. I also never met him but his contributions to this forum and a blog - especially electronically - were immense! High ball and Gods speed Dale!

Dale was a wonderful source of information on this site and the rail hobby in general. My condolences to all his family and close friends and may Dale Manquen rest in peace, Amen.

I'm sure we will all miss Dale!

(It's funny but I was just thinking of him the other day, wondering what he was doing)

Yes, this is certainly very unexpected news, and Yes, his Manco products were a great help to many of us TMCC Beginners in Years past. I purchased one of his products when we were putting together Leapin Larrys Looney Lines RR, and he came to my home in Tennessee (he drove from California)  and helped install his booster. He actually stayed at my home for a few days and we visited many layouts in the 300 mile radius of Clarksville, Tennessee.  We drove to Cincinnati to see Bill Bramlages Empire, (Tower City) Gayle Rochings Empire, and in Evansville, Jim Bengerts Empire, and many others. He was a very sincere gentleman and very knowledgeable about Electronics.  This is a total surprise to me and our Prayers and Condolences go to his Family. He was and will be remembered by anyone who needed his help. Thank you for this post and hopefully more folks will chime in with more information.
