E-BAY PRICES FOR SOME WEAVER CARS ESPECIALLY NE CABOOSES ,57' REEFERS, AND 50' MODERN BOX CARS HAVE GONE OUT OF SITE. BIDDING GOES TO $150 MORE THAN I CARE TO SAY. OTHERS ARE THERE FOREVER AT DIRT PRICES WITH NO BIDS.

I buy bulk Weavers if there are no broken steps and contain LD as part of the box number. Latest  1/2 moon die-cast trucks and couplers.

They went through many changes over the years. Finally getting it right about the last 4 in business. All prior items may have a combination of issues, improper metal weight placement in the door ways, poor packaging, coupler height variances, 2 floor board screws, flat head or phillips and design flaws. Like early Atlas Rico, most original stuff was junk compared to todays standards.

The issues with Weaver freight cars purchased from the bay are the poor packing from dealers and or the crappy shrink wrap ( pre clam shell) OEM packing. Once that shrink wrap is broken. One is at the mercy of the seller in hopes he will pack it right SD not to make the trucks swivrl and damage or break the fragile stirrup steps. The smart people like me purchased extra clamshells from Weaver models when they were around for their Weaver cars.
