A few years ago, I ordered and received two Weaver 57' Mechanical Reefers, part number U12006. One with sound, one without sound. After many years of being in the box, waiting for me to build a layout, I finally took it out of the box to use! One of the couplers must not have a spring to push the coupler open.

Does anyone sell replacement couplers (this has a roller on it for power to the noise maker (refrigerator compressor)?

Does the body on these cars come apart? I don't see any exposed screws or tabs, and I don't want to break anything just pulling on parts.

No need to remind me about opening and checking out every new purchase.....message received!

i had the same problem after taken it out of the box the trucks fell apart I took off what's left and found out that the roof and the sides are connected together there were no screws I just tugged on the roof and pried on the bottom of the sides and it opened up hope this helps

I have the Delrin couplers and non power trucks for that
