In buying Weaver 3 rail cars, such as the B&O Wagon Top boxcar, is there any problems in changing the 3 rail trucks to 2 rail and couplers. Does it affect the appearance

It's got to improve it!
On Weaver trucks, you can just swap out the wheelsets. At least the older ones I have. I have bought some of the Milwaukee cars and the H30a Covered hoppers, but I got them as 2 rail to begine with.
But all the weaver stuff today I have seen have had NMRA recommended height bolsters. I don't thnk they change them for 3 rail.
