MTH has deceived me for all of these years.  Ever since I saw the N&W Class J and A at the VA Museum of Transportation I've wanted both in my collection.  While scale MTH 4-8-4 Northerns like the Class J 611 can negotiate O-54 curves, scale articulateds are rated min O-72.  Well ladies and gents I'm here to tell you that that is not entirely true!  I got a scale Class A #1218 to commemorate the restoration and return of the #611 to Roanoke and excursion service.  When I put the Class A on my min O-54 layout for pics a wonderful thing happened:

She ran all of the way around without derailing!  Even negotiated a O-54 switch to the engine yard.  I'm super happy and now considering a scale Y6b to replace my Railking Imperial version.
