Very interesting locos Scott. I'm so used to seeing the tin-plate electrics and big -boilered steam.
Great job on the lion cage.
Love that 1st photo Scott!

I'm putting together my order from the new Lionel catalog and debating whether to add the two Penn Central U28B's to my fleet. They are almost identical to my PC U33B's from around 2018, so I'm not sure if I will order them or not. Here they are pulling an eastbound mixed freight towards Enola:
Caught the Erie's beer job last night. Looks like NW2 8354 is assigned to the job and is seen spotting some reefers & a hopper at the brewery.
8558 MILW EP5 leading a freight past the farm & the industrial section of town

Thanks Scott for getting us started for this fine snowy ( at least where I am in Maryland ) weekend! Here are my photos of the fun kind! In celebration of the snow!! Have a great and safe weekend everyone!!
Flapjack Mercer must be waving at a bird in the tree. MOW workers Ike and Mike are moving a heavy crate. " Hey Mike." .. "Yes Ike" .. " Do you think Flapjack has lost it because I don't know who the heck he's waving at."
Watching a flanger do its' thing on the mainline of the Mountain Division!
Evening commuters brave the heavy snow storm as their train arrives on time.
MOW workers and a switch engine on the Danlilou siding making way for the plow extra.
The headlight of a hard working steam locomotive is visible as it pushes the flanger through the deep snow. Got to keep the trains running on time!
The end of January and Christmas holiday decorations are still up as this trolly prepares for a run through the Westend Neighborhood of Patsburg.

WOW!!! Great looking floor layout Walt!! Interesting track plan and I love the bridge and multi -layering too! How many hours does it take to set this up? Just curious.
Also in the sequencing of your photos here .. you could be a magician .... abra cadabra! .. Now you see it and now you don't! Ta dah!!!

@PRRronbh : here's how I respond to people that ask that same exact same thing of me. Many say "why do you take it down so soon?"
I say that it all depends where the fun comes in. FOR ME the fun is drawing sketch after sketch until I come up with a track plan with scenery options that I like for the upcoming Christmas layout (I 100% change everything every year). I also enjoy putting it together.
I think of it like I do jigsaw puzzles: I enjoy putting them together, I look at them for a short time, and then I put it away. Running them is not the fun part for me, unless it's with guests.
Scheduled guests coming also dictates how long it stays up. Typically by the end of the 1st week in January or shortly after, no more guests are scheduled so I take it down.
This attitude works well for me because of where I get the fun from

Running trains for kids, at hospitals, at nursing homes. These are, IMO, among the highest and best uses for our model trains. Arnold
