Weekend Photo Fun begins early.
It's been a while since my wife has done a while you are at York pictures. I thought I was in the clear until I saw these.
Here are some videos from York:
Let's see your pictures.

I took a mental health day on Tuesday, and decided to go out to Clifton Forge. I know that some of the pictures are not train related, but I wanted to show off some of the beautiful scenery as well.

Beautiful Fall pics, Greg, thanks for posting them!

I always save my York train pics for the week after......so the memory can linger a bit.....
The LCCA layout.....
the SGMA layout......
in front of the Nordlanz booth....
in the Purple Hall.....
at the Lionel display.....
Have a great and safe weekend, folks.....

Other things from my York trip:
Driving in DC, I was going west on Bladensburg Rd and while stopped for a light approaching the crossing of New York Avenue, I appreciated a paint job that seems pretty good since it may be over 50 years old (the PennCentral merger was in 1967.....one has to wonder if the lettering has been re-done).
I didn't spend much on trains, since I am investing in infrastructure: benchwork, track, etc.
Glen Snyder shelving. Boxes of RossBed and a new magnifying work light.
I did pick up a few trains....a few random cars for increasing my New York Central heavyweight passenger set.....luckily, MTH coloring is always pretty close year to year.....
Lastly, I was searching for another Lionel well car......I have a plastic kidney and a project of mine for the next year is to make a "Be a Kidney Donor" car ( for those of you who don't know, I practiced Nephrology from 1983 through 2020). The kidney fits pretty well. I need to secure it with the chains and work on signage.

Thank you Peter! I think the pictures came out pretty good myself too!
Great photos. It's been several months since I looked on here or even ran my own trains. So this morning I made some coffee then let the engines stretch their legs. Sorry for all the hobo shots. Luv these guys. You can see Shoestring, Muskrat, Stobes and Sawdust hanging around the fire. Nick T.

I sure wish they would have, could have kept the M-1 coaling structure there!!

I think you're safe with all the pictures as this is in the "Miscellaneous" category so there shouldn't be any issues. When this got moved(the topic), that was partly because of the wide variety of the pictures being posted. They ranged from all sorts of things, scales and such that was why it wound up here.

I saw that too Scott. I would have thought someone would have definitely bought it as it is, "one of a kind", "never see anything else like that coming down the rails".

Great photos, everyone.
Also, if you do a "Reply With Quote", if the pictures have a number in parentheses at the end of the file name, they will not post. Additionally, if Trainbros89 were to do an edit, the photos will not show up when he reposts. Not sure if CrowdStack can fix that, but I now make sure my photos do not have "(xx)" in the file name.
Every fall we go up to the White Mountains area of New Hampshire for some hiking and kayaking. We also stop at the various train venues, which there are many. This was the first year that we visited the Conway Model Railroad Club (they were always closed in the past). It is an HO layout with some great scenes. Enjoy.
I'm late posting pictures this week. At York last week one of my goals was to find some more machine tools and other "junk" to put in my diesel servicing facility. I bought more castings from Altoona Model Works and some from Jeb's Trains in the Orange Hall. First few photos show the castings from Altoona Model Works after I painted them:
And here are some interior shots with all of the new details in place:
I may still add a scratchbuilt toilet enclosure, but other than that, the interior is finally completed and detailed.

It is Halloween week-end and our club's landlord, the proprietress of Dale's Train Station, Gloria Stocks, visited us this morning to get the day going. First, a group shot of some of our members with the LADY:
And, some nice trains were running on the four mainlines of the club's permanent layout.
First is Richard's MTH Erie Tri-plex coal drag:
Les ran his MTH scale Rail King Proto 3 NYC FM H10-44, while Dave ran his Pat's Trains special run Legacy B&O:
(The discerning eye will see former President Obama and spouse campaigning in TOGA City for the democratic candidate for governor of the Commonwealth.)
This is Murph's spectacular PW Texas Special 2245 that looks like it was made yesterday--pity my camera phone doesn't come close to capturing that glorious red paint.
And he ran it with the companion O-27 passenger cars. See thumbnail.
As for me, I asked, and then watched, as Les replaced the traction tires (which were procured during LIONEL's 50% off sale) on the club's LIONEL Track Cleaning Car; reloaded the bottle/reservoir with Goo Gone; replaced a sponge pad; and, put it back on the shelf till it's used on Wednesday.
Be safe.

Scott, it looks like the Mrs. gets to work while you're at York. I don't think I could afford very many trips to York if I was in your shoes.
Joel, you got some crazy delivery vehicles observing that wedding. I never saw a Mister Softee truck that looked like that but it's a winner and the milk man sure has one snazzy ride. Who made them and where did you get them?
Hello Everyone,
I'm building a diorama. I need to finish up a bit of scenery, add a small structure, and paint the fascia and the project will be completed.

Looks great - nice job. I recently purchased all the tools and supplies to start experimenting as well. I may be reaching out for tips and tricks.
Ever since I saw the Water Level Freight Set, I've been trying to get a hold of one, or in my case, the pieces. I got the caboose and the engine first, then it seemed to take forever when the Beacon Oil tank car finally appeared. I was not holding much hope for the hopper or the boxcar, but the last day of York just as I was leaving, notification came over that the Michigan Central Boxcar was out and about.
After 3 hours and change(got delayed out in Strasburg taking pictures and video), I got home and made the purchase. It arrived yesterday and very happy to have almost all the pieces to that great set.
Great way to start the weekend, eh?
