A view of Union Station from a kids tree fort.
Commuters patiently waiting for the next train.
Pennsy PA 1 and trolly exit their respective portals at same time.
A glance across the yard reveals a Great Northeaster Caboose.
On an all but forgotten branch line a Pennsy caboose sits at the end of a spur.

You have some very realistic looking figures on your layout. Can you tell us how you painted them, or their source?
I am aware of Joe Shipbaugh's article in OGR run 319
Here are some layout progress pics. Hope to have all the 3rd level bench work done in the next week or two.

Wow! That is an awesome and massive display! Where do you store all those modules between shows?
I am looking forward to seeing photos of it when it is completely setup. NH Joe

Most of us keep them in our basements and garages, but the member who owns the corners has a 12' trailer where he keeps the corners and his most-used modules and he has a storage unit for the rest of his modules (he's been doing this for nearly 23 years).
Once the layout is up and running, I'll start a thread for the pictures and videos.

A couple of custom pieces from my railroad.
Exciting time of year.........Getting out the Christmas trains!
Have a great and safe weekend, folks!

Lots of real trains this week.......went to NYC to watch my daughter run the NYC Marathon....
The ride on Amtrak was fabulous......on time and comfortable......
Leaving 30th St, Boathouse Row......
Center City Philadelphia.....
Lower Manhattan from the Meadowlands.....
Mid-town from the Meadowlands.....
Leaving my daughter off at the Staten Island Ferry (we took the number 1 train down to lower Manhattan).....
Times Square.....
The newly re-furbished Times Square/Grand Central Shuttle......
....can't ever get enough of this view......
....after watching my daughter at 1st Ave and 61st St, I bolted for Lexington Ave and took the Number 4 to 138th St and Grand Concourse where, I saw her again...... A Conn DOT Genesis engine slowed down and blasted its horn to cheer the runners on.....
....after taking the 4 and the N to get to Central Park South and seeing her again, my wife was able to take this picture near the finish line.....and, my daughter did it in under 5 hrs!!!!
.....a side trip to Philly on the way home....and I always pass Suburban Station on my way to the Reading Terminal Market.....
....and the Siemens engine up close and personal for the ride home south......
.....a great trip.....

Great photos. Question: how many Triple Crown trailers are in that train? Do you have more?
Grand Trunk Western box cars in the 1940's and 1950's era Maple Leaf scheme have very rarely been produced in O scale.
Here is an example of these rare GTW Maple Leaf box cars:

@Andy Hummell, stunningly massive modular layout and I look forward to your future thread with photos and info.
For now, however, how many modules are in the configuration shown, and what are their sizes?
How is the layout powered and with what control systems?
Thanks.

Roughly 55 modules make up the mainlines and 10 more in the yards. We have 12', 10', 8', 6', 4', 2' modules plus a couple of smaller "filler" modules to make up for the odd geometry.
We power the mainlines with one ZW-L. Accessories are powered separately. We have both Legacy and original TMCC in our control box. We run MTH in conventional mode. This year, we may experiment with DCS (we have not had much success with it in the past, but that was with older versions). With the ZW-L, we never have to set foot inside the layout except to turn it on and off.

Great photos this week, good to see everyone's layouts / projects etc.
Our latest Club Car arrived for the Canadian Toy Train Association. A Pacific Great Eastern Tank Car by Atlas. Looks good beside some other of our custom run items for the club. https://www.canadiantoytrains.org/canada-club-cars/ But we are all waiting for our Moosehead Beer custom run reefers https://www.canadiantoytrains.org/
And some repaints I am working on waiting on some custom decals. Repainted MTH SD 40-2 and MTH C630 for BC Rail.
@Andy Hummell, thanks for the reply. I joined an O gauge club with a permanent layout and a travelling layout at the beginning of Covid. Thanksgiving week-end will be my first experience transporting, setting up, running, and taking down the 23' X 43' modular layout with the group. It will give me a glimpse of the logistics you encounter with your super-sized modular layout.
Again, thanks for the reply.
I added a shelf behind my credenza in my office to display my New Hope & Ivyland set when it arrives, that is when not running on the layout. While waiting, I put my GG1 and a few of my remaining PA freight cars behind it to display then realized (LOL) that I had a picture of the same GG! On the wall!

My figures are from Artista, Woodland Scenics, Model Power, Preiser, and Chooch all of which I have bought brand new. I've also purchased new figures from Town and Country Hobbies in the Orange Hall at York and other figures from Scenic Express. A also purchase used figures at various local train shows which I attend. Additionally I have recently purchased an unpainted set of brass band musicians from Modelu, a Great Britain Co. Modelu has a variety of figures in O scale.
MTH Premier O scale Pillsbury and Canada 100-ton cylindrical covered hoppers were typical freight cars seen on real railroads during the past 40 years.

AWESOME pictures this weekend, my better half is back in the hospital again with a strep infection to her left hand and up into her left arm, so it has kept me busy and away from my computer. Looks like some really good times coming this weekend, thanks for all your efforts and I'm looking forward to next Friday's photos. Have a Blessed week, everyone stay safe and healthy.
My New York Central #3000 Lionel 18009 has been upgraded, and it looks like dynamite. Here are some what was pictures, followed by some running on the Christmas Tree layout.
And some videos to go with that.
Last two.
JEM,
That's certainly understandable. I hope she is doing better.
Dave
Thanks for the pics, Mike!
