Thanks Neal! This is the only portion with scenery on it at the moment. I am still deciding on what to do with the rest of the layout. If I make any progress I will either post it in this weekly thread or the "What did you do on your layout today?" thread.

thanks for that well-appreciated compliment @romiller49! I'm actually finished with the build as of Saturday but won't post pictures of the completed layout until starting after Christmas.  Like I mentioned: I have to spread them out over a year's time.

Posted to another thread, but finally got this one out for pictures after putting it back together a few years back from the basket case I purchased it as.

It's not very scenic yet but I'm starting to be able to get a feel for how operations will turn out on my layout:

I had to adjust it in Photoshop since my lights aren't installed yet. But I'm quite pleased with how much action will be available during operations. The 0-6-0 on the high line will continuously need to bring hoppers up to fill the stock bins for the blast furnace skip hoist and the highline is double tracked up top so two of them can actually run at once. The track where the Big Boy sits will have a water/coal tower I hope. And then the 2-10-10-2 is blasting by is part of the the double track mainline that will be able to run continuously.

That scene is action packed just like it was back in the steel mill heydays. This will be a nice view once you bring everything to life. However, this is a great time to just enjoy running trains. You have come a long way.

@luvindemtrains Thanks! Getting a completed loop has been the biggest motivation boost I have had in a while. I started straightening up a bit more at the other end of the layout and I've ran trains a few times a week for the last few weeks now.

The Austin Tinplate Trackers setup our 14th Annual Holiday Layout Exhibit in the brand new Round Rock Library last week. This is our 4th location to setup the Holiday Layout.

We swtup just in time for me to run my new GGD MoPac Texas Eagle. The Eagle ran through Round Rock just 3 blocks away from the library.

If you're in the Central Texas Area come on out and see us! We are setup through December 30th.
