Here are a few scenes from O Scale West last weekend.

Picked up one of these Lionel Piggyback Cars. They come in various road names but I really like the Lionel color scheme on this one.
SJC,
From our own Charlie Nassau. I think he must be selling them as part of a set break up. I actually looked around with little success and was pleasantly surprised when a search led me to his site.

Thanks John!
I'll pass on guessing but that Rio Grande tanker is SHARP!
Here's a photo of one of our new Hi-Cube box cars that just arrived. Got a pair in Conrail livery that we put at the front of an autorack train. This was set up by my son Steven. Great job Lionel. I've been in this hobby for over 40 years, and if someone had ever told me that Lionel would do a scale sized Hi-Cube, with provisions for the installation of Kadee couplers, I would have never believed them!
Here's something different...this is a scratchbuilt model of a cast Pennsy sign. These were common on the PRR and built to last. They had a cast iron top mounted on an iron pipe and lasted for years.
Neal,
That sign is fantastic and dead on. So are the PRR railing stanchions.
Fantastic pics this weekend!

Think Spring, a couple from the Farm.
I woke this morning and it was still February.
Spring is March 20 34 days.
Then there are flowers to model. Spring bloom in the Grand Tetons. Late July.
Boston a few days ago, before this weekend's blizzard.
What did you use to make the Sam Adams sign? I've been asking for one from Miller engineering.
I cut the logo out from the cardboard holder of a six pack of beer.
My friend Christine Braden's work "CJB" painting on Facebook Sent me a picture of her latest AVR custom Paint job. done for PghTrainFanatic See them on Youtube.

"I was her first client when I asked her to paint a Williams GP9 for me."
Tried a few pics from a step stool...
My new purchase; it was NIB, so I ripped it open and put it together.
On a whim I pulled the trigger on one of the more unusual sets to be offered in 2014, the Menards' 24-flatcar pack. Arriving yesterday after hopscotching across the FedEx system from Wisconsin to NYC, I opened it up this morning. Since nobody has posted photos of one of these to the best of my knowledge, here you go:

I haven't yet had an opportunity to see how consistent the couplers hold. I did note that all the cars were deliberately packed with their couplers open--even the indents in the plastic tray were shaped to accommodate open couplers, so someone was paying attention in the days of MPC plastic knuckle springs. The few examples I tested worked as they should, but I haven't assembled them into a train yet. I'm still assuming some will need a little tweaking.
The set nestles together into a nice neat package. It's smaller than I thought it would be when I first saw the ads for it.

I just completed another section on the front of my curved stone arch bridge project. Here is a shot from back a ways so you can see the impact that it will have as you enter the train room. I am hoping for a little "wow factor" from my guests.
I have more pictures on my thread in the Scenery & Structures topic if you are interested. Thanks for everyone's support and encouragement. It has become a longer project than I expected.
Art
Art, I'll say it. WOW!! I can only dream of ever having the space let alone the talent to build something like your layout.
Art, to heck with the guests; if I built what you have I'd feel a "wow" every time I walked into the room.
Ray did a great job on those!
If you ever have problems with the couplers failing by dropping down on your cars, try body mounting them.
It has become a longer project than I expected.
Compared to me, you're in the express lane! Big time.
I am hoping for a little "wow factor" from my guests.
From your guests or for your guests? From you guests, they should be bringing something worthy of running on that incredible layout.
For you guests, no problem. You should definitely get the WOW factor from them. (note the capitals). If they don't react properly, you probably don't want them there anyway.
You should get some nice running out of your effort! Exceptional!
I realized the other day that I had all the materials except $20 in wood to resurrect the elevated loop on my train layout. It has been about 5 years since I've had an "EL" track. After realizing I had all the stuff, one thing kind of led to another.......
Since we are doing dynamic test(roller) stand.

Some fine equipment Don! Thanks for posting. You guys must have had a fine time/
Here are my pix from day 1 of the Monroeville, PA Greenberg Show. Even though the weather was nasty, we still had good crowds all day and lots of families with kids.

Wow-o-wow-wee, SIRT. I picked these shots out because the grimy, graffiti-marked walls are PERFECT. In fact, the atmosphere they establish is so realistic and convincing, I had to examine the tracks to inform myself that I was not seeing real-life. That is art, man.
