Yes I am early again, but this time it's because I am in Roanoke instead of York, PA.catinthehatmad This is the first time I have missed a York event since I joined the TCA back in 2002. So I hope I see pictures and hear some great stories for those who made the trip as well as pictures from those of us who didn't go.
Last week I got to see Neil Kresge's layout.

I hope that everyone enjoys the York TCA show. In the meantime, I’ve been stuck at home and running New Haven Railroad model trains by MTH on my 12’-by-8’ layout this week.

Alco DL-109 diesel locomotives like #0719 (20-2325-1 with PS2) began service on the New Haven Railroad in December 1941. By the end of World War 2, the New Haven had 60 of these Class DER-1 locomotives. They pulled passenger trains by day, freight trains at night, and were the first successful dual-service diesel locomotives. They were geared for a maximum speed of 80 miles-per-hour and had two 6-cylinder 539T turbocharged engines, each with 1000 horsepower. Tractive effort was 53,000 pounds.

New Haven Fairbanks-Morse CPA-24-5 #793 (20-20474-1 with PS3) was one of 10 Class DER-4 locomotives that completed the dieselization of the railroad’s main line between New Haven and Boston in 1952. They had 12-cylinder opposed-piston engines that produced 2400 horsepower and 63,120 pounds of tractive effort.

The G&O garden railroad hosted its Dinosaurs at the Depot show on April 15, 2023.  Here are some videos from the show.

Dinosaurs ride past Norris Falls.

A SF freight and the Dinosaur train passes the volcano.  The SF freight is pulled by a Menards engine.  The dinosaur train is pulled by a MTH FP45 that has been converted to TMCC control.

The Dinosaur Park train passes Bedrock.  The park train is pulled by a LionChief engine that has been converted to battery power.  The battery is in the trailing box car.

Great photos guys, hopefully, one of these years I might make it to York, never been but I'd sure like to go.  Steve, I really liked your work and I thought the chain and rust on that little 44 ton loco was a great touch, very nicely done along with the scene where they are tearing out the corner of the building, great work.
Thanks Scott for getting things going again this weekend, that was a beautiful layout you got to visit.  I hope everyone has a great weekend.
