Here's mine planning a town on my new layout.

Latest engine servicing area photos. This shows the test run of the largest engine that will use the turntable and servicing facilities, a Class  J Texas:

Those are some great shots of the really large scale trains, they build some nice equipment.  Were those the 1 1/2" scale size?  I was building an Allen Engines 2-6-0 but my twins came along and that pretty much sucked all the extra funds for building right out the window but it was worth it.  Building one of those is an eye-opening experience, it's not just the cost of the locomotive, its the additional costs of the tooling you need to make it and all of the machinery you need also.  It was also a good way to learn about metal working and machinist practices.  I wish I still had my South Bend lathe, it was really a great machine.  I still have my bench mill and all of the tooling for it.   I'm setting it back up so we can use it at the lock shop where I work.

A talisman of years past....found at the bottom of a desk drawer.....my switching diagram from the 1992-2003 layout. Each number corresponded with a TMCC command routed through SC-1s and ASCs.

Those early TMCC days were a blast as technology exploded on the scene....

Mike CT, you've got a really nice trestle. Is it a scratch build or did you buy components and assemble it?

A  VL Challenger cab no 3967 going out for some track clean up duty.  I could not find this cab number for a while. Thanks Tom! Sure runs great:

Just finished upgrading this 3rd Rail Santa Fe 3751 conventional to full ERR with GRJ super chuffer , chuff generator, Evans LEDs, and a rear electro coupler.

Great work Alex - that sound is better than just regular ERR sounds... is that a Legacy sound board?

At the time, Bridge Solutions, no longer in business.  There are other vendors who supply products like this.  

Thanks Mike.  I've seen Silk City (NJHR)and Bridge Boss components but I didn't think yours looked like either of those.

That is one engine I would have absolutely no objections to Lionel reissuing. 

One of the best (if not the best) ever!

Hi John,

The sound is the standard Large steam sound from ERR, a baby fat boy speaker with baffle. Maybe it's because the Brass tender shell ?

Hi Dave,

its originally Tom Yorke kit, remade/ rereleased by mike Lynch.  Then I kit bashed it a decent amount.
