It's Friday and it's time for WEEKEND PHOTO FUN!!!

I have the blues again? I really like the two-tone blue tinplate.

My train room lighting gave the photo above a green cast--it is the same two-tone blue and matches my Blue Comet cars.

Let's see your pictures.

Here are a few views of the Pittsburgh Light Rail system, including the downtown subway.  I bet most of you didn't know we had a subway here in Pittsburgh, albeit a short one.  Still, it's very cool with 4 underground stations and a portion of it actually passes through a tunnel under the Allegheny River.  During downtown events, games at Heinz Field and PNC Park, and at rush hour, it is heavily used as can be seen in the second photograph.

I always felt an articulated light rail vehicle would be an outstanding model for the three rail O gauge market, and since they are heavily used in Europe, could be used by MTH for both their American and European markets.

It's a video... I'M SORRY!  But for anyone that saw last weekend's Photo Fun I had a picture of my layout before tear-down, and after.  Well this is where it is at as of last night!  Lots more switching and action!  I got tired of the "running in circles" and decided I needed to twist things up a bit.  While I may be moving in a year or so I didn't rebuild the benchwork I just added on!

My latest acquisition, in G scale, from eBay that arrived this week.  An Aristo-Craft FB-1 in Pennsy colors and lettering.

It will be lashed up (OOOOPPPPPS) I mean run in consist with this Aristo-Craft G scale FA-1.  Also in Pennsy livery.  These units must be newer units because their bodies are much lower than previous ones I've seen.  Older ones had a gap between top of the trucks and bottom of the body shells.

Did I mention that the track is Gargraves G scale flex track in stainless steel.  It looks much more realistic than the large Aristo-Craft or LGB track.  All I need now is a loop of track to see how these bad boys run.

Bruce...Great job. Those bottom clamps with the square corner jaws caught my attention. How many time I would have done most anything for something like those. Can you fill me in as to where to buy and approximate cost?

Thanks and again, great job!

Today I was visiting a store on Rt. 88 and joy of joys, the parking lot backed right up to the T tracks. Even better was the fact that it was rush hour, so there were about 7 trolleys going by in about a 20 minute period, once, there was a trolley thirty seconds behind a trolley on the same track! Consequently, it was the only one I didn't get a picture of.

I bought that set of clamps years ago, but I can't remember from where. They are for picture framing, and I use them all the time for squaring up structures. The corner pieces have 1-threaded hole and one that is drilled and free to move. All the rest of the parts are things you can find at any hardware store...Go figure. I'll bet if you GOOGLE for picture framing tools you'll find something like them. You might try MicoMarks too. There are no manufacturer's name on any of those corner blocks
