Well quit a busy week now I've got my computer back.

First Jeff & Jim run out of fuel on the double track crossing.

A couple from last weekend.

Two new arrivals this week Lima L.M.S. 4F's one red & the other black , converted from 2 to 3 rail but still running on 12vDC.Also some size comparison with the Hogwarts loco & tender,& MTH 0-4-0 0

Also last week or so, a tram shell arrived now powered with a super street truck.

I have more B&O engines than any other, next I have New York Central locomotives and after that whatever I find interesting.

I had my 10 wheelers lined up for action on home layout. The MTH premiere PS-2 on left and Lionel Legacy version on Right. Both quality engines and good runners

A pair of N&W SD40-2's (Lionel 6-34777 and 6-34775) hustle a manifest around the Bedroom Central Railroad.

Last weekend was all about 611 as I chased it w/ some friends from Spencer to Roanoke. We were actually able to get her 6 different times along the way

While chasing 611, we stopped in a pawn shop in VA. I noticed they had some trains in the window. Picked these 2 cars up for $10 each. Was looking for them to match my CNJ FM

A 2014 Christmas Layout Memory

A scene on my layout where I was inspired by a windmill and some of the Holstein cows from a former dairy which was located in the Laguna de Santa Rosa.  The Laguna is the second largest freshwater wetland in coastal Northern California.  The Guerneville Branch of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad crossed the northern end of the Laguna just before it empties into the Russian River.  The Mayacama Mountains make for a majestic backdrop.

Continuing with the great Hi-Rail Train Club of Griffith, IN is this shot of a railroad wheel shop.  I really like the modern building and the detailing they have done.

When I'm oncall, I spend my down time between calls doing what I call "doodling" on the computer. Most of the time I search for railroad pics. This week I spent time looking for New Haven RR pics.

I am a New Haven RR addict......I can't get enough of its pics!

just had a thought....maybe next year after all the fan fair has died down...maybe NS would repaint 611 to look like this NH Pacific...just have to do something about that extra set of drivers......(now if half the forum hasn't had a heartastroke, and the other half isn't on their way to tar and feather me...just kidding!)

Steamer....someday I hope Weaver remakes an updated New Haven I5 Hudson or either MTH or Lionel takes it up.........with Osgood Bradley cars, of course! Pipe dream?

My Premier PRR H10 hustles a reefer train out of Port Rock Tunnel:

New WBB arrivals, Wednesday 6/3. Snapshot; depth of field is poor.

The decoration is not totally correct in color (too maroon; yellow steps; stripes/lettering tends toward tan/white rather that Dulux).

But, some is correctible, some is ignore-able (esp. with weathering), and, over all, they make a nice presentation. They are off, not inaccurate. I like them.

They run...like WBB. The "sound" is generic non-EMD.

What gets me is that they made me do my own (second photo) years ago. The trouble that they would have saved me! Argggh! 

These were a lot of work; more accurately decorated in most ways than the above. But I still like the new ones.

P.S.  This engine runs, but man it runs rough, it sounds like it has sand in the engine, I really need to dig into the thing, crack it open and try to lube it up but it's pretty much enclosed.  A good project for this summer I guess.

It's a BOSCH weekend. First, my birthday present from last year... These cars will always be run in memory of our Bosch.

and farewell to our Lab Bosch. A beloved pet of 11 years 7 months; he lost his battle with ALS and passed away at 1:00 AM this morning. Our sweet boy in much happier days.....

For all you dog lovers, I know you understand...

Little late this week. Just got back form a trip. Continuing in the series of Observation cars, he is number 5. It is the Lionel scale Heavyweight version of the PE that has had the rear end customized by Forum member Keith.
