Regarding Marx Railroad Crane with Searchlight:

Awhile back Roger Carp of CTT did a video (a maybe a writeup) about this crane. The piece is entitled "when Marx beat Lionel" or something like that. I think I saw the video on youtube. I'm sure it is also on CTT's website.

Not sure when atlas o came out with this billboard reefer, but I just bought one and it is beautiful. The car advertises a dairy in the York, PA area (how appropriate for the TCA). The graphics are different in each side of the car.
Ramblings -
In case anyone else notices that the smokebox front on the Lionel (and MTH, too) scale Challengers just "doesn't look right", as I did, well, you're not wrong - they aren't modeled correctly. (The brass Williams 4-6-6-4's front is correct.) This is my Lionel Clinchfield unit.
So - I bought this smokebox front from Stevenson Preservation Lines - I'm not sure of the original tooling source - Lobaugh? - but I intend to replace the Lionel front with this. I'll add handrails, a number plate and some more-scale-sized class lights - they (and the number boards) won't be lit, which is fine by me.

A side by side comparison of the Lionel Standard O scale Burlington Northern 40' boxcar and the RailKing O scale Burlington Northern 40' box car. They have the same type of molded in details. The RailKing Scale cars and Lionel Standard O scale cars complement each other.

Also, I've been involved in other projects....ballasting our group's yard module.
I hope to finish the windows this weekend.

Looking good Peter!
Peter, looking superb so far!!!!!! I built two of these , it's much easier to install the window's before you put the building together. What i did was complete the entire front face then assembled the structure.

I bought unpainted ones from Michaels, painted them up, and display them in my den. I made one for each grandchild: sadly I don't have a picture of the 4th one that I did for Alexandria, but you get the idea:

Steven Michael gives us is it real or is it Memorex. This weeks layout wars has had a surprising turn of events. BANDOB, scott.smith, CNJ #1601, MrMuffin'sTrains ( end of an era), trumptrain, DohertyNJ, MDuppy, TURTLE 2, Pat Kn ( blast from the past), and leapinlarry all show off there stuff. But in comes leavingtracks (Alan) and treats them like they are the Russians coming thru the Fulda Gap and piles it on. When that doesn't work he drops a Nuc with the North Shore Electroliner . No wonder JayJays CTA 6000 series wound up on the wrong track. With that being all said, It is a good thing that we now know that Doc ( Putnam Division 
also take trains as a form of payment.
So here's mine contribution. Don't know why I like the picture, Maybe because I am still felling the effects of Alan's exchange.
