Last Friday under the "buy anything new" topic I posted some (these) pics of my just received "get." Also a caveat that I was going to add a special detail.
Well some how I found the time to extract and add the detail of the Navy Sailor (figure) standing post at the head of President Bush's casket during the trip.

Did I show this before? I forget. A "classic" seen at York.
A 2018 Christmas Layout memory
Continuing with the Halloween section.

I really like that Lenox Ghost House. As you can see in this next image, it lights up blue. It's a flickering light which adds somewhat to the "spookiness" of it.

Here's a personal favorite scene from my last layout. (Aug. 2018)
The Lego layout at the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum.
Have a great weekend all my forum friends. Thanks for looking.
Welcome back Christopher. It looks like my future layout is going to be in a spare bedroom instead of a much larger bonus room I had been hoping for. That realization made me think of your layout(s) of the last few years and the fact that I didn't remember too many posts from you recently.

Thanks. Sometimes you need a break to kind of clear your mind. I have been pretty good with trying to squeeze layouts in small spots but I know how challenging it can be. Wish you luck! Just realize, you probably can't fit everything you want. To me, the key of a small layout is not to jam pack it with everything we want/have. Leave some space & let it breathe.
I'm coming to that realization even before I know which room I'll be using. I do believe I will have to sell more than I keep.

Oh I know the pain. The office I'm in now has now closet, so that makes it even tougher for storage.
Santa Fe Northern 2926 in Albuquerque, NM. The engine was on tour during the TCA National Convention. The boiler lagging (insulation) and covers were not installed when these photos were taken. They are going to be installed after the boiler pressure test. The cylinders had not been installed yet. The restoration group expected that the engine will be able to move on its own power in late fall. NH Joe

It appears we have been moved to the photo album forum. I almost didn’t find the thread. My guess this is due to the copyright issues. If you don’t have permission to use the photo, then don’t post it.

Scott, actually believe it was the new crazy ruling that everything there had to be 3-rail O-gauge and only 3-rail O-Gauge.

Hi Scott, it's obvious that I found the Photo Album Forum. I had to go to the home page to get here.
OK,OK I'm not the brightest bulb on the Forum Christmas Tree. But if I can get here anyone can!

Yes, this.
Only it's not really a "new ruling". It has always been in the TOS but the moderators are now enforcing it.
I can't read minds but at a guess the idea is to make it easier for the moderators to screen for copyrighted photos (by making sure all real train pics are in the "Albums" forum). If so I think it's a good strategy because it makes it easier for the publisher to protect himself AND still allows we posters to post pics of the prototype. That is what is called a win-win.
