WEEKEND PHOTO FUN 9-26-14-??

Here are a couple of little areas of detail on my layout I'm glad I did, esp. when the discerning eyes of some visitors to our layout discover them. (I never point things/features out to guests when they are in the trainroom. It's just not my style. What they discover is what they get, is how I have always conducted myself as the host. Watching their possible discoveries is one of the ways I enjoy myself during such visits.)

Today I tore out Castle Canyon Railroad. 7 years to build and one day to un-build! It did not want to come out of that room and it was a heck of a fight!  Demolished in 12 hours w/a shovel. T-Rex ran for his life!!!

Sure going to miss photos of this layout. It was a gem!!!!!!

I'm sorry to have jumped on this train late.  Better late than never, they say.  These are all excellent photos and stories to go with them.

I do want to comment on one however.  Perry, the last, but certainly not least.

Please tell us who are uninformed the reason for tearing down the layout.  I hope it is because you are moving, or have a new layout planned.  From what I see, this was a very neat layout!

I plan to move to a cooler climate, so the layout had to go. I'm going to build a new layout but with a different theme. Not sure when or where, but one day. Castle Canyon still exists in my photo albums so one never knows when T-Rex will stop in....

Fantastic group of pictures this week everyone!!  I want to thank all of you on behalf of the crew here at OGR for posting so much really nice pictures and comments on this thread every week.  Scott...you started something that will have a lasting impact on many folks in a very positive way....
