Good morning and welcome to WEEKEND PHOTO FUN!!!
This past week we had to take down the Jurassic World layout;
Now it's time for our Halloween/Nightmare before Christmas layout. This is still a work in progress.

This is a re-post from late last Sunday regarding my series of posts about the attack of Godzilla in Central PA on last week's edition of Weekend Photo Fun. It kinda wrapped things up, but I figured it got posted too late for most people to see:
Thank you to all of those who responded to my posts of Godzilla on the attack in central PA. Not the kind of thing I normally post, that's for sure! He is in fact my daughter Caroline's bearded dragon who is actually named Godzilla. See the photo below. We often joked about posing him on the layout attacking a building and the railroad. We finally got around to doing it this weekend! In reality, he is completely docile, and she has him well trained to eat out of her hand which he would not do when she first got him. He is sitting on my desk in front of me as I type this.
Peter, thanks for the offer of the tanks BTW.
Since this is the end of the weekend, and probably won't be seen, I'll re-post this next week.
I added lights I thought it gave it a nice touch. Should of came with them.
Happy Friday!!
Working on the wiring this week so not much to show as far as progress. I did get all the track activated accessories hooked up though. Working on the other accessories this week & then moving on to scenery.
Often overlooked 1654 steamer leads set 1401 from 1946 on the inside loop. This little engine is solid & pulls extremely well.
Set 1430WS from 1947 on the main line
2025 leads set 1430WS out of a prewar 919L tunnel
Lorenzo operating some trains -
Giovanna loves the trains as well -
Shades of OWL - In a scene out of the 1950's, N&W 611 arrives into Barber Junction w/ a late night Powhatan Arrow. NCTM did a night photo shoot w/ 611 over Labor Day weekend that I was lucky enough to attend
Took Lucia & Giovanna to see 611 on Labor Day. The pic below is Giovanna's reaction after hearing 611's whistle in person for the first time -

My latest custom project that I designed with Lionel. Santa Fe Warbonnet SD40-2. 2 Legacy powered and 1 nonpowered. All 3 units have different rooftop details as per the prototype (the road numbers are prototypical).

Back in the days of steam...a westbound passenger train blasts by Mifflin tower on its way to Altoona, Pittsburgh, and points west:
Just picked these up last weekend. Ever since I was a kid I wanted Superliners. The HO guys had them, but in ogauge in the ‘80’s I was stuck with Lionel short postwar cars in Amtrak paint. Checked the box!!!
P.S. ignore the junk pile in the back ground. Construction project is under way!!
By sheer dumb luck, look what I came across. A prototype photo of the model scene (looking in the opposite direction) that I posted above...
Putnam Division, how come I can't find trains like that in my Cherrios boxes? LOL Guess I'll try Crackerjacks!
Rio Grande in the valley;
One of the items to share that is not strictly tinplate.
