This Distler station was introduced in 1938 and TT was started in the mid forties in the USA and only later also known in Europe. This is just a toy without any scale, Distler was a toy maker (not only trains) and scale was not part of their considerations. They wanted to make a large modern city station and just made it to what to thought was a reasonable size.
