The NMRA standard is a good one to follow even with our sharper curves, but some caution should be used if you're running large freight cars because of the extra weight. Normal prototype practice seems to have the longer cars toward the rear of the train. With sharp (36" radius/O-72) curves of our 3RS model layouts, the extra weight at the rear can still cause the lighter cars at the front to string-line off the rails in sharper curves. So a little extra caution should be used with those long, modern freight drags. Pushers should eliminate that issue, though.
