I ordered up the Johnstown car and it is sweet. Runs very quietly...I see it has a QSI reverse unit. What do I have to do to make it start up in forward instead of neutral???
Here's a diagram I got from Doug Papay at Western Hobbycraft explaining how to jumper the QSI unit. Incidentally, there is a spot on the front platform at one end for a small slide switch. I got mine at Radio Shack, and the on/off feature works perfectly!
Adding the switch worked. I was a bit nervous removing the body but it was pretty much straight forward. Installed the switch and put the wire ends in the contacts where the jumper goes..Works like a charm. I like being able to start in forward every time I run it...Still trying to find some spec drawings of this car.....
