Bring a digital camera that can record still and video shots.
There are many operating layouts and product displays to record.

$10.00 Is to much plus I don't know how much it cost to park. I'll wait for next week. A local show in the Detroit area only costs about half that.
Just got back. Good news, a lot of families with younger kids. The younger kids enjoyed playing with the LionChief sets Lionel had set up at their display. I was impressed by the durability these sets seems to have. The kids operating the trains were pretty young and there were derailments and other accidents. The Lionel reps (including J. Don Reese) or the parents just put the trains back on the track and they were good to go. No issues with voltage spikes or shorts. Definitely kid friendly.
MTH and Bachman had nice setups coving their product lines, MTH had a very nice display layout. RCS had a booth as did Z-Stuff. Dennis Zander was demo'ing some of the products and answering questions. There were scenery demo's and workshops. Decent amount of folk and not too crowded. Aisles were wide and it was easy to get around. This was a multi scale event and there were a lot of display layouts from various clubs, including S-Gauge and Lego.
I went yesterday. While a bit expensive, I thought it was worth it. Stumbled upon a guy that bought a huge collection of unopened hot-wheels, many from the 90's... Only $0.75 each! It was great. I resisted and got away with only buying 8.
Bought some track, got lots of literature and was impressed with the various layouts and displays.
I just got back a little bit ago. I agree with Chuck; it was great to see the kids playing with the LionChief sets at the Lionel booth. I did spend a little time talking with Matt Ashba. I was informed that the new catalog should be out mid-late March. Mr. Ashba said not to expect much in conventional product other than the LionChief stuff. He did also say that Conventional Classics aren't done, but they are waiting until what is out there moves before releasing anything new in that line. Also spent a little time chatting with Al Kolis at the LCCA booth. Pretty good show. I'm always impressed with the LEGO stuff.

Dick Kaughn (sp ?) and his wife were there also. Showed up at the LOTS booth
around 3ish I think. He's pushing a walker around but still looks good.
Had a great Lionel varsity jacket also. It was good to see him....

Al Kolis told me Dick Kughn may be stopping by, but he wasn't sure if or when. I left around 1. He just had a hip or knee replaced I believe is what Al said.

Sunday, Feb 23 was another successful day for the LCCA. Former owner of Lionel, Richard Kughn and his wife Linda stopped by the LCCA display during the WGHOT show in Novi MI. Richard and Linda greeted members and new Junior members who joined the club during the show. LCCA Junior Member Coordinator Vincent Kolis was working the booth and meeting with fellow LCCA Junior members all day. Lionel’s J Don, Reece and Matt Ashba stopped by the LCCA booth to talk trains and share in the enjoyment of LCCA’s Mini operating layout. Thank you to all of the LCCA members who stopped by our booth and welcome all of the new members who signed up this weekend. We hope you all will contribute and have some fun being a member of The Best Toy Train Club on The Planet!
