Gargraves offers a line of o gauge two rail track that looks to have the profile of their three rail track. What trains would use this track? I wouldn't think the "O Scale" guys would run their trains on the oversize track.

I don't who uses it, but it is perfect for MTH 2/3 rail trains and Ross will make the turnouts without the center rail. I think maybe my next layout.
I have considered that track in the past for my clockwork layout, but ended up sticking with O27 tubular. I think it would be great for clockwork, onboard battery power or live steam O gauge. It would probably work fine for outside third rail or two rail track powered trains running on tinplate wheels, if someone wanted to do that.
Those are the applications I can think of... anyone else have some ideas?

Can a locomotive from MTH or Lionel be converted to run on two rail tinplate track? I have read that MTH offers scale wheels for some of their locomotives as well as two rail versions. I am thinking of two rail trains but use three rail equipment knowing full well the wheels would have to be insulated.
