I went today (Friday), although I usually go on Thursday. I hit the Orange Hall at 8:45 because I had to use the restroom after my 2 hour drive. I was surprised to see how few people were in the lobby area waiting for the doors to open. At past meets, the lobby has been packed first thing on Thursday (how was it yesterday?).
In any event, went to the White Hall for the opening because I wanted 3 postwar American Flyer link coupler passenger cars. I found a set of 3 aluminum streamlined ones (660, 662, 663) in truly outstanding condition for $325. The dealer took $300. cash for them. I have no idea what their "worth" is, and don't care. I could not be happier. This took place at 9:20...so the day was young (as well as 82 and sunny). Bought a few minor odds and ends before leaving. Am now looking at my purchase displayed with a 322 Hudson at the front end. I'm a happy camper!
I'd be interested in any comments concerning "the public". I thought maybe I'd see some "HO" size Woodland Scenics ready-built structures in the dealer halls, to sell to the public. Some of these work OK on my "S" layout, but as usual for past Yorks, none were seen by me.
