Here's what I came home with:
2 Ross Standard Gauge switches

The remaining pieces of Mianne benchwork to finish my layout
And my daughter picked up a couple of cozy's handmade by Lynn of Mianne

The Meet certainly is not over yet ... but all I've bought so far is an engineer's cap for our grandson.
But, Thursday has been fantastic.
A complete 10 car set of K-Line 21 inch CZ cars that were NIB. Now that the ice is broken, I plan on hitting it hard in the morning.
I bought a PRR Williams 44 tonner and Williams Amtrak F3.

Mostly information for now, though one of the great things was meeting several forum members face to face. Jeff Waldman put his reputation at risk by vouching for me as a guest. Still trying to find the elusive MTH UP/SP Heritage Caboose

Marty, that sure made this trip worthwhile. I think this is the best 21" set out there for looks and smooth operation. Great job in locating it.
And Brian, you "did good" as well.

Good for you!
Try Rick Neely of Altoona in the Purple Hall. He has a very large space there with a ton of items at very good prices. He wants to move a lot of merchandise. I think he had two or three of the BB's.
One case of Natty Boh (bottles) from Shrewsbury Pa

Assurance from Mike Wolf that the upcoming N&W J from the 2015 catalog will have the correct valve gear and solid pilot wheels. He acknowledged that the catalog picture was a photo shopped image of the 604J from their last offering.
Geez, these rare 10 car K-line CZ sets are falling from the sky in York
Congrats to the both of you

Picked up at York: K-Line Gunderston stack car (bought on forum, York delivery)
3 MTH Special Club Stack cars (see photo)
More than last time, $28 worth of figures and three model trucks....sure haven't
seen anything wild and exciting...one car in the MTH catalog....
The only thing I bought at the Meet was a 1:43 model of the first '53 Corvette concept car, the fastback version. Paid $65. for it at the Diecast Direct booth in the Orange Hall. I went there first at noon on Thursday, and it was the only one they had.
The "find" I'm most excited over was a 1940s cane fishing pole that I bought at a antique mall on the way to York.
A headache from all the decisions to make!
I picked up a Morrison's Door factory from the Charlie Ro booth. Those guys were great. I had only known of them through this Forum and their website and didn't know where they called Home. That changed the second I meet them in person. They have the heaviest Boston accents you can imagine and they're very funny with each other. Beside getting an great deal, it was fun interacting with them. It's definitely worth stopping to meet these guys.
Emile
Nada! Well a few ounces of it a cantilevered signal bridge (compliments of Andy Edelman) and a few odds and ends. I didn't see the 10 car kline CZ set's or I would have had them as well, my loss
I picked up a Korber roundhouse built, weathered, and lit for me from a fellow forum member. Other than that, I just bought some track and a K-Line tank car. Enjoyed my day though. Always a great time at York.
Thinking about this on the drive home, I've felt this way for several months, if not years. Simply, there really is nothing being produced that really attracts me. I really have little or no desire to buy thing being made. With two exceptions the MTH Imperial Evolution Hybrid and the MTH 44ton switcher. Other than that, I really am not attracted to the things being produced today.
Anyway, at York I got a few minor things...
*JT's Big Boy Premium smoke (no BB here but I wanted to try it!)
*An MTH Station platform
*2 Department 56 buildings that I will set aside for my Christmas displays.
*Food I really shouldn't have eaten....
I was quite tempted to grab a Williams 44t but I would rather have the 9331 road number (PRR), electrocouplers and cruise.
Anyway, it was great to just get out of the office. I'd rather have a bad day at York than a good day at work!

Hi Brian. I suppose your going to blame me to for buying a Lionel Zepher. Stand in line my friend there are 3 ahead of you!
Sounds like everybody found scenery items and small accessories for the layout.
What about cars and engines? Where have the deals gone ??
I myself found nothing appealing - both in price or any engines I really got excited about.
Usually look at MTH Premier and Lionel Standard O cars and found nothing new I wanted.
Buying boxcars for $45 or more doesn't seem like the York deal from several years ago.
I picked up a set of Z Stuff crossing gates and got some of the JT Mega Steam cleaner.
On a humorous note, last York I picked up a post war 6014 box car which I promptly misplaced as soon as I got home. Couldn't find it anywhere. When opened my file cabinet on Thursday evening to file away the new Lionel catalogs, there it was!
2 locos
2 cars
2 worn out legs
2 much more to list
2 cold days in York in my memory
I was only able to spend Thursday afternoon at York but I did have a productive visit. I purchased a very nice pair of Pre-war 711 072 switches, a Pre-war Lionel 120L Tunnel in excellent condition and a very nice display case for a recently purchased 1966 773 Lionel Hudson. I wish I could have spent all day Friday there as well but Trout fishing and Turkey hunting in the mountains of West "BY God" Virginia took precedence-this time.
Here's something I didn't buy...
A member in Blue (or maybe Silver) was selling (or trying to sell) box flaps from postwar boxes (just the flaps) for $2 each.
I thought I'd seen everything, but apparently not.
Picked up a 2-rail Atlas woodside reefer with ventilator hatches. Got it for a great price. Never did find that elusive MTH UP/SP Heritage Caboose.
Got some items on my wish list,
lionel FEF 844 6-11131
mth f90ph Metra premier
Lionel 86' Milwaukee road
Altoona Power house and smoke stack including extension
scenic supplies

What was the hook on this one? For people repairing boxes? I just can't begin to imagine
borderman,
You'll love the FEF. It sounds incredible and is an excellent runner.
BTW, the black one you got is hard to find. Enjoy it.

No sir, I'm not going to blame you. You've been tried and convicted of this atrocity in absentia! You along with your co-conspirators Marty and Dotty! I am an innocent victim here!
And I couldn't be happier!

You must have missed the $12 modern Lionel warranty cards!
As to my purchases, very light so far:
I'll go back and check some of my "maybe" items. If they are still there, great, if not, I'll not be terribly disappointed.

I seem to recall somebody listing modern Lionel warranty cards and perhaps some other paperwork right here at a similar price.
I didn't buy any from the listings, nor at the York show.
At the York show, there were many items offered for considerably more than I thought they were worth. I didn't purchase any of those items. Perhaps somebody else did. Perhaps not. Table holders are free to ask whatever they please. Nobody is compelled to buy anything, other than by their own desires.
I had a pretty good York product wise but a great York meeting up with some good friends. Here is what I got (good deals too)
2 Atlas X29 Merchandise Service Boxcars (different numbers) 2 for $65
1 Lionel O Scales Hussky Stack Car dealer marked $65 but was saying make me an offer so I said $50. He said sold.
Two dealers in the Orange Hall were selling the Husky Stacks for $90 to $95.
JohnB
3 diesels
a few freight cars
7-car Canadian Pacific passenger set
4-car CSX Coke Express hopper set
a few paint brushes
a TCA windbreaker
1 DVD
assorted mini tools/accessories
but my favorite purchase may be this new shirt...
Wore it Friday and was stopped on three different occasions by people thinking I was an MTH employee. At one point, over by the MTH display, I was doing a brisk business accepting cash deposits for new catalog pre-orders. Made about 700 bucks 'til they got wise to me.
All in all, a great time all around and the most productive (read "expensive") York ever.
