Does anyone know what happened to the old Williams stock when Bachmann took over in 2007-2008?

I imagine that the stock just went to Bachmann, but maybe not.  Does anyone know?

I am looking for a Williams E7 AA and B-Unit in the Illinois Central paint scheme.  These were in the last Williams catalog that I have (2006-2007?), pre-Williams by Bachmann.  It seems that WBB did not continue with the IC paint scheme for their E7's.

Does anyone know of a train store that might have a lot of old Williams, pre-WBB, stock?

The Williams numbers on these are:

#E7-206 for the AA set

#E7-206B for the B-Unit

Thanks!

Western Depot seems to have most of the pre-Bachmann Williams items if they are to be found! I bought a Reading Lines GP-38 that was dis-continued by WBB.

The second best to try is Marty at Ma & Pa (Maryland and Pennsylvania) Junction, he has a few left-over Williams items before Bachmann. Marty is not easy to get a hold of, so email him instead and he will usually get back to you within a week.

But those seem to be really good sources for other old Williams items.  Maybe that information will help others find what they might be looking to track down.

If you can't find it there try posting a want to buy add on here in the misc. section.

Thanks for all the information everyone. I am really sorry to hear about Marty.

The Alex Cooper auction has a lot of stuff, wow! Unfortunately, they do not have the Illinois Central E7's that I am looking to buy.

Tim, those IC diesels listed in the Alex Cooper auction are actually WBB F3's, but thanks for the tip!  (The IC E7's are pre-WBB, so they would be in the old red Williams boxes).

Hello;  I have a set of used Williams,  Illinois Central F-7 AA.  These have clear shells and have all the decals.  I purchased these a number of years ago on ebay and never ran them.  They came with a certificate of ownership  stating that they are a "Prototype Clear F7  AA units by Williams Reproductions."  The certificate is signed by a Richard Ford and dated July 20, 1984.  If interested,  feel free to contact me.  thanks.  wayne(walter)
