...working through a few Hafner projects. This finish on this Streamliner loco was in poor shape with rust working through from end to end. Oddly, the rest of the train is quite decent. Time for a repaint: cleaned the loco down to bare steel on the bench grinder with a fine wire wheel attachment....taped her off, including the rivets....a light coat of primer and a final check for gunk on the surface.....and two topcoats. I think it looks pretty good!

Thank you, sir! Much appreciated! Actually, just sitting here and admiring my handiwork while the finish dries in the window. It is hot and humid here.....dang, if there isn't orange peel along the bottom of the left side! Tomorrow I am going for a bike ride.....Tuesday, I will strip it and re-refinish!
