For those who run all five S gauge PE cars (3 set cars and the 2 add-on cars) - in what order do you run them? Naturally, the baggage car follows the tender and the observation car's at the end but what'order do you use for the other three cars?  Btw, which end of the baggage car should be closest to the tender - the side with the narrower door and four window panes or the wider door that has six windows?

Thanks for your input.

So you guys are basically saying the OP has started an illegitimate/inconsequential thread?  He asked for your opinion on a subject.  Why not state your order of PE cars, or else just ignore the thread?

This "its your railroad so run it how you like" is the most condescending and unhelpful advice that I see posted on these forums.

My feelings exactly.

Thus the name [IMRR] Its My Rail Road.

Most small town station platforms were not that long so the baggage car and coach in most cases  would get priority when stopping at the station.

I love the beginning of the movie when the train  roles  up the street with the steam coming up from underneath the  coaches ... Very realistic...  After  the beginning...  Well, I still hear the "bell"

I haven't seen the movie in a couple of years, but from what I can remember, that makes sense.

So according to the movie, would the hot chocolate car be in front of the "car with figures"?

Who above said the thread was illegitimate or inconsequential?  I didn't see anything posted that suggests anything condescending.  If you're looking for an argument, look elsewhere.

ogaugeguy,

I am hoping that my answer was not taken by you as an insult, it was not meant to be taken like that. If I have spoken in a way that would hurt your feeling I do apologize for that. Actually I run my P.E. always with the baggage car behind the tender and it goes on as I take it out of the box, never really paid any attention to which way it went on. Again I am sorry if I seemed to be talking down to you, I will be more thoughtful when I post after all this is a great place to get questions answered.

Ray

Ogaugeguy,

I am looking at my PE right now on the shelf where it has been since late January.  I have no baggage car, so I put the toy/marionettes car behind the tender, then the hot chocolate car, then the passenger car, then the hobo car, then the observation car.  This seemed logical to me.  I have watched the movie since I got the PE set and add-on cars, but didn't pay any attention to how they were in the movie, or if they were even consistent from scene to scene.
