Interesting threads on what people would like to see from Lionel in the coming year(s).

From the MTH perspective I am hoping (and hoping) to finally see...

FL9
and
Scale 44 Tonner

A DCS controlled Crane Car would also be cool.

What would you like to see?

Paul
ok - a rerun of the Bicentennial GG1 and a Kodachrome SD40-2 (not even sure if the prototype exists) would be icing on the cake.

ANNNND! We're off!!

Hot Water is SO correct! (Well, the 4-12-2, I don't care about.)

Heavy USRA Mikes (Actually I'd prefer that Weaver did these, but I'll buy from whoever does),
Heavy (or Light!) USRA 2-10-2, but, most importantly:

The ever-elusive - NYC K-5 4-6-2 (Hudson's daddy)
PLUS ------------- NC&StL 4-8-4 Dixie
------------- correct L&N M-1 Berkshire (not another repainted NKP, pleeeze!)
Camelback 4-4-2 No. 1027 scorching the ballast between Camden and Atlantic City with the fastest regularly scheduled trains in the world in the 1890's. To match her, the PRR built three Camelback 4-4-2's. These three began Class E-1 and culminated in E-6 Atlantics, of which No. 460 (The Lindbergh Engine) is the most famous.

Reading N-1 2-8-8-2

Reading K-1 2-10-2. Eleven were rebuilt from N-1's, the largest 2-10-2's in the world.
-- USRA heavy Mikado (Absolute #1 priority!!!)
-- PS/3 upgrade kits
-- A Baldwin 4-6-0 of 1890-1910 vintage, sufficiently generic that it could be lettered for many roads and look reasonably correct.
-- Improved speakers, in enclosures for better performance. (I suspect the electronics are fine and the complaints about sound quality are mostly due to cheap speakers.)
-- Milwaukee Road ES-2 electric steeplecab switcher
-- The 44-tonner would be nice, and might even be possible with the smaller PS-3 electronics and low-profile motors like the old Marx/K-Line diesel switchers.
I like the idea of all this New Haven stuff, so I'll second that emotion!
For me...how 'bout a big fat EF3b in Brooks Brothers paint! Or even Cat
Whiskers. Better yet, retool that monster after doing those paint jobs
and giving us an EP4! With all three schemes...of course!
And Mike, while you're at it....How about some NH juice in HO!!!!
Let's see American steam of any kind N&W preferred. McKeen motor car and like every modern train manufacturing company , I'd like to see their production schedules be in sink with their catalogs But I guess if I hold my breath waiting on that to happen I'd look like a Smurf(Blue)

Since MTH is not an old company in the train industry, I would like to see them reissue their old line of accessories and operating cars.
I would purchase the coal hopper cars with the operating coal loads, the one where the coal rises to fill the hopper and falls when it is being "unloaded".
The operating coal loader is also very nice and quite unique and I would like to see that again.
