Some years ago there was a member on the forum that did custom painting. I cannot remember his name and wonder if he is still active, if not, can anyone recommend someone?

Did a search and found the name Harry Hieke, thanks anyway.
Jeff Sohn also does custom painting, and he too, is a member of this forum.
Lionel credits Mr Heike with weathering the latest locos in the latest catalog.

From what I have read on the forum, Jeff no longer does, although I could be wrong.
Corsair29 here on the Forum does some great custom painting and weathering, give him a search and look at his web site.

You cannot go wrong with Harry Heike. He is one of the best and very familiar with our O-Gauge hobby.
Harry Heike might be kinda busy, he's weathering locomotives for Lionel from the 2013 fall catalog.

Never heard of it, so I got out the Atlas and looked it up. It is just a bit south of Rockford, i.e. pretty far north western Illinois, from Chicago.

I wasn't sure what part of Illinois it was in. We got our Beagle dog from a recommended breeder there.

Well...my Beagle...Yoshi...is now seven years old. I guess you could call him a "weathered" beagle. I knew you were in Illinois, so I had to ask. But, on the subject of weathering. I have a Williams cab forward that I am having sound and a new smoke system put in. If I paid for shipping, do you think gnnpnut would weather it for me? Matt
