In setting up a Ross Curved switch I lost the small spring that connects the DZ-1000 switch machine to the switch arm. The Z-Stuff part number on these parts is DZ-1000 and they come in a package of four. Does anyone know who stocks this small pack of four springs? Leads and info are most appreciated.

I'd give Steve a call at Ross Custom Switches.
I'm sure you tried Dennis at Z-Stuff already so your best bet like above is RCS.

Z-Stuff said to go to Ross but I hate to bother a manufacturer for such a tiny PITA item. If no train parts sources have them in stock then I guess that Steve will get the call.
I understand what your saying. Gargraves also has DZ-1000 switch machines come to think of it.

they are very easy to make, go to LHS and pick up the desired diameter of piano wire.

Yes you could easily bend piano wire to the shape of the switch spring by using tiny needle nose pliers, but would the end result have spring properties?
