Good evening everyone,

Nice story, I was looking for the Lionel NYC 10 wheeler while at York. We were looking for hours I also had asked a few fellow forum members to keep an eye out for one. Quiet a few hour's had gone by and my wife and I decided to take a break and rest our tired legs. So we were looking for a place to sit outside and my eye caught this nice picnic table with two benches,I look up and I see fellow forum member Doug N sitting there. He calls us over and says I didn't find a NYC 10 wheeler, but I found a C&O Legacy 10 wheeler. I had to make my mine up pretty quick so I said to Doug which hall is it in, he said the Blue hall without hesitation we all rushed over there. We get there and the engine was brand new in box never ran, the price the guy was asking was a really good price but I had to haggle a little and I ended getting it for a steal. I finally was able to unpack it and get it on the layout for it's first run. I must say the looks are just beautiful and the sounds and whistle are awesome, My heart was set on the NYC road but after seeing and hearing the C&O, It's a winner for me.

So thanks to all the forum member's who kept the eye out for a 10 wheeler for me, and a special thank you to Doug N for finding this beautiful engine. Here's a couple of photo's and a quick video of this awesome engine.

      Thanks for looking, Alex

I think finding stuff for other's at York is Doug's specialty.  I had mentioned to him that I was looking for Lionmasters.  He told me about a cab forward he saw.  We walked over to the Orange hall and I couldn't believe I had missed it earlier.  It was right next to a display of the red & blue Vanderbilt's.  I guess I was mesmerized by the color.  It was a great deal!

We also were hunting the brown hall together and I found a complete set of 2005 Powhatan arrow cars.   Turns out Doug was also looking for them. I think he's still mad at me about seeing them first <G>.  Negotiated with the seller and made the deal.

Doug helped me carry them to my car.  This cost me a beer at Friday's.  Well worth it and I think I'll be owing Doug beers for a few more years.

Nice to see you Doug and hope the ride home was smooth.

BTW.  Nice engine Alex.  I have the Canadian Pacific and I love it.  Missed you at the Grandstand and LUG.
