I know that Weaver sells direct, but wonder if anyone knows of a dealer/s that carries all or most of Weaver's new rolling stock items as they are released? lt seems, unfortunately, that most train shops & the popular mail order houses tend to carry Weaver on a spotty basis as a third or fourth-tier product line. Suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

Also, you could call the Weaver Train Co. and ask them.

Publicdelivery. I buy my oil cars from them..plastic wheels[or what ever you want] and Kadee couplers..out of the box and on to my 2 rail layout. No messing around with anything. As much as i love Atlas tank cars, i have had issues with there plastic couplers breaking in a heavy consist and they run about twice the money.
Most of my Weaver rolling stock has been purchased from Public Delivery Track either at YORK meets or by mail order.
Easy people to deal with.

Up on "The D & H Bridge Line"
Norm's O Scale. I've bought a lot from them over the years. They even arranged to have Weaver do a modification on a new Consolidation before it was shipped to me.
Once I saw an Erie-Lackawanna caboose in the Weaver catalog that I had received as a member of Weaver's Conductor's Club. I ordered the caboose directly from Weaver at list price to insure that I would receive it rather than order it from a LHS or mail order at lower than list price to insure that I would receive one. Then one day I received a telephone call from the Weaver Company that my order was cancelled and that I would have to purchase the caboose from a retail outlet. So do not assume that an order with payment placed with Weaver will be honored. (That was the last year I joined the club.)
Over the years I made purchases form Andy Petersen(Petersen Supply) and Beth Marshall(Public Delivery Truck), Andy and Beth are good people to deal with, I believe that Beth offers more older production stock than Andy. Check their respective web sites for available items that you are seeking to purchase. About four years ago I wanted the second car number of the Trainmen Pittsburgh and Lake Erie boxcar, Andy did not have it in stock, he did some checking with vendors on the West Coast, found the car, called me with the standard marked price(no markup) and I purchased the the car from him, talk about service.

Edit/add When AM Hobbies was still in Pennsylvania, I would call. His prices were reasonable, and some of the higher end items. (i.e. Brass Canadian Pacific loco) shipped directly from Weaver. So review the list, there might be some surprising bargains there.

It's probably worth noting that "Weaver dealer" doesn't necessarily mean "Dealer who carries a lot of Weaver."
