I was wondering who is going to go to the show this weekend. I have seen some advertising on tv for it and I plan to be there. Since I am six foot seven inches tall I will be easy to spot. Also will be wearing a Southern RR cap!

I seriously debated it but it’s very close to a over night stay for me. I figured with the one in Asheville then followed by York I best staying home.
I would appreciate you letting me know what the show was like. Additionally if there was any G (one gauge) at the show.
Have fun.

Please post a report!! I had plans to go.....5 hour drive each way.....but things came up and now I can't. thx
I wasn't aware of this show so I hadn't planned on going. I would be interested in a report, though. It is only about a 3 1/2 hours ride for me (Southport, on the coast). Maybe next time.
Ill be there. in my back yard. super excited
My brother and I are attending.

I will try to report on it. I was looking over the exhibits list and there were no G scale layouts listed.
If you are on the fence about going, there was a tv station at the show this for a preview this morning. Go to wccbcharlotte.com and scroll down to recent news and click on Wilson's world for a video that is about ten minutes long.
The Lionel Collectors Club of America will be there next to Lionel's display. Stop bye the LCCA booth and let's have some fun!!!

OK,,,,open an hour now....where is our report??????
Just kidding.....I know it's not York......I was just wishing my plans had worked out and I was walking the floor right now.
What does "WHGOT" stand for?
Back home after being at the show. I have never been to York so I can't compare the two. It was a nice show with Lionel and Mth having nice booths. O Gauge was about 25 percent of the show. There were 3 O Guage layouts. HO and N had the largest presence and the most layouts. There were several smaller vendor booths. If it is in Charlotte again I would attend but I'm not sure I would drive over a couple of hours to attend

Larry:
The only G scale that I saw was at the MTH booth. It was a tin plate train.
It would have been nice to attend, but 5 hrs round trip for about 90 minutes of show time (all my 3 year would have handled) didn't make it worth it this year. But it looked great.

it is a show that travels to 4 different cities a year and sometimes takes 10 years to return to the same city. it is owned by the same people who put on the great train show and several others.
I’m not big on HO, but that giant layout at the bsck left was awesome. Gave me great ideals for my layout
WOW! Al great pictures. And yes Derek it's always great to see J Don!.
Now Al Kolis , I ordered this do-hickey. I guess I should do something with it.

That is the track template for the LCCA modules. I'm hoping to build a couple with some friends and maybe get a small layout done. At this point I plan on buying 1 straight module and possibly 1 curve module and then replicate them at home. A couple of us setup a LCCA table when the Carnegie Science center has Locomotion Weekend here in Pittsburgh and it would be cool to have a small setup for that.
