Just wondering if any forum members are planning to attend the TCA train show this weekend in Raleigh, NC.
It would be nice if we had some way to identify ourselves as OGR forum member including our forum name.
Happy railroading,
Don

I'll be there!
I'll be there, too. Do you know what time we can setup on Friday?
Not sure how early we can set up but I do know the building will be open for set up all afternoon on Friday.
Looks forward to seeing you there
Don
I just became a member tonight, to find out more about a train collection I just came into. Maybe a train show is just what I need! Where can I find details about the show, and whether I might find any experts in 1950s O gauge Japanese brass?
Thanks - maybe I'll see you there!

John: The show is open to the public from 10 AM to about 2:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday (April 30 and May 1). The show is located in the Kerr Scott building on the NC State Fairgrounds at the corner of Hillsboro street and Blue Ridge Rd in Raleigh, NC.
Hope to see you there,
Don
Thank you, Don. Now the deciding question remains whether there's likely to be anyone there who knows about Japanese brass trains. Best guess right now (which I didn't know when I posted my question to you) is, I have an engine made by KTM and sold at the Tenshodo retail shop in Tokyo frequented by servicemen in the Occupation. If you were looking for such an expert, would you be optimistic about the show this weekend?
If I do go, even just for the fun of it, I'll stop by and say hi. Enjoy the weekend!

O scale brass is a very specialized area and i do not know if any one at the show will be familiar with the engine you have but I expect there would be folks interested in seeing it. Most of the brass items st these shows tend to be HO.
Not sure how far away you are, but admission is relatively inexpensive.

It looks like this weekend isn't going to happen after all. Thanks kindly, though, Don... perhaps I'll have a chance to meet you at a future event. Have a great day!

Had a fun morning! Bought a brand new K Line scale Pacific.
Flying past on Amtrak. Waved but I don't think you saw me.
Truthfully, I was turning into the fairgrounds as that train went by! Had the baggage car on the end. Didn't wave, had to keep both hands on the wheel.
